Aloha Cup Bap is out of this world!

This restaurant serves melt-in-your-mouth authentic Hawaiian poke. While visiting Seattle for a week, I did my due diligence in trying the best rated seafood/sushi restaurants and they were ALL terrific. However, I did not expect that I would find the BEST SEAFOOD at a small poke joint located in a small college town. It's a few blocks removed from the busy hubbubs, and I guarantee you it's worth the visit.

The owner is from Hawaii and knows his stuff! You can sample all the different types of fish and sauces before you make your decision. I wanted to create the best hybrid of delicious and healthy in a bowl. The owner was genuinely interested in teaching me about his products and informed me of the differences between frozen (then thawed) and non-frozen fish and the salt/sugar content of the house sauces.

And behold the picture I've uploaded! The perfect nexus of healthy and delicious! The soup was free as well!!!

The tuna at this establishment is especially delicious. It melts in your mouth in such a unique way... And the house sauce is just sweet/tangy/savory enough to give it a hit of flavor without taking away the integrity of the fish. No need for heavy sauces to mask the flavor of fish here.

Overall, there is something special about authentic Hawaiian poke served here that stands out from commercialized poke restaurants. It is obvious that small details are important and the owner is proud to provide you food from his home. It's a place worth visiting and revisiting.

So, come for the tuna and return for the hospitality. You'll be glad you did.

Aloha Cup Bap has a great sashimi bowl for 14 bucks that deserves five stars.

It doesn't get the same five stars as Shiro's or Tsukushinbo, but for a mom'n'pop poke stand, this place does everything right.

Copious portions of fresh fish with tasty sides and very good sushi rice gets served up in a clean and hip space that's convenient to Swedish, Seattle U, and St. James.

So glad I took a chance on Aloha Cup Bap.
    I'll be back, too.

I cannot get enough Aloha Cup Bap. We went for poke after the snowstorm and were crossing our fingers that they were open.

We got the poke again, and both the salmon and tuna were delicious and fresh. BONUS: you get Miso soup with your poke if you dine in!

If you're a poke fan, you need to go here. It's amazing and I swear by it!

Stopped in for lunch since this place is pretty close to my work and I was craving poke! I got the salmon and tuna with the back alley and the aloha. I would have to say that their fish is very fresh and I really enjoyed the back alley! They do cut their fish in very small chunks compared to other places tho. For the toppings, the imitation crab was kind of creamy which isn't something I'm used to so I felt the texture was a little weird. Also, they give you very little toppings and there isn't much to choose from, which makes me sad because that's what I enjoy! There's also not much of a variety when it came to toppings. Just some seaweed salad, ginger, crab salad. The bowl is also a little small for the price you pay compared to other places.

Other things I want to try next time are the hand rolls!

Overall, very fresh and flavors were good- but a little small in size and less variety when it came to toppings.

Cam here for dinner after at The Works Seattle. Had done a little investigating knowing we would be near kind of forgot about it till we drove by cause we figured we would just drive around till we found a place that sounded good. Told my friend I has read about it so we decided to give it a try for dinner.

This isn't for their poke cause neither of us ordered it. My friend went with the Hawaiian Breakfast $6.50 a side of Krab salad and a side of kimchi for a $1.50  each I believe.  His breakfast had two slices of bacon, two slices of spam and kahlua pork with scrambled eggs over rice. I had the kahlua pork and cabbage that had mac salad and piclked veggies daikon and canbbage I believe. Being Japanese American I call this tsukemono also came with small miso soup. The pickled veggies were so delicious!
Looking forward to trying more of the Hawaiian comfort food on their menu.

Loved the art in the main part of the restaurant. Service was friendly.
